Hohongvit running apparel was a business created and filed in 2018 under the Hopi Tribe’s Office of Revenue. Hohongvit was created first to provide running apparel that Hopi runners could identify with and proudly represent themselves and their people while competing in races. Each design created under Hohongvit has a story to it. Whether it is characteristics of specific Hopi symbols or a story behind the combination of designs and symbols, Hohongvit continues to develop their apparel aligned with their tagline: Running with a deeper meaning.

Hohongvit has secured and sustained partnerships with a variety of people from individuals to professional organizations when advocating for support and service for the Hopi people. It is through these partnerships and collaborative efforts that we are able to give back to various programs on Hopi, most specifically the Hopi High School cross country program.

Hohongvit owner/visionary has always utilized the sales of merchandise to support, host, and promote Hopi running in a variety of forms. It has always been a dream to create a separate non-profit organization to grow our programs to the point of long term sustainability. Enter the Hopi Distance Project. We hope to add to our story of evolution as the months and years pass.
